May 11-15

TESTING:  We will be doing some end of the year testing at various times during the next two weeks.  Please make sure your child comes to school on time, rested, and ready every day.

Reading:   This week we will be reading expository text (informational) .  We will be working on the comprehension skill of cause and effect.  A cause is an event that makes something happen.  An effect is what happens because of that event.   As you read with your child, please take a few minutes to discuss cause and effect in the text.  These are our high-frequency words.  We will be practicing them in class, and by the end of the week your child should be able to read them quickly and easily.

Reminders:  Fun To Be Fit Day will be at 1:30 on May 22.
