           years                    crew

Please put this list in a handy spot and have your child practice reading through the words a couple of times each day.

This week as we read, we will be determining if what we read is a fact or an opinion.

Math:   We are studying fractions.  The best way to help your child is to spend a few minutes each night going over your child’s math homelink.

Third Grade Bookstore:  Next Tuesday the third grade classes are having a bookstore and will be selling gently used books.  The books range in price from 25 cents to $2.00.  I am asking that you send in a few coins with your child as this is a great way to get some inexpensive books.

Scholastic Book Fair:  Today we visited the Scholastic Book Fair and wrote down titles of books that look interesting.  Your child has a brochure about the books in his/her mail.  If you are interested in purchasing books, our class will have a chance to purchase these books next Tuesday.

March is Reading Month:  This year our reading theme has been “Oceans of Fun.”  We have one more special day planned in March.

March 30- Beach Day.  Wear the attire from all of the previous Fridays .

Bookbags:  Please make sure all bookbags and reading calendars are returned by next Thursday at the latest so I can determine who has met the reading goal to earn prizes.

Report cards will go home next Friday.

Have a great weekend!
