  Second Grade News

                                  December 17-21
Christmas Party:  Our Christmas party will be in the afternoon on Thursday, December 20.  For our Christmas gift exchange I would like each child to bring in a small gift for everyone in the class.  You can go to a dollar store, Wal-Mart, etc………to find one item that you can get multiples.  For example:  rubber insects, snakes, frogs, bouncy balls, stickers, candy, gum, pencils, erasers, and lots of other ideas.  Just use your imagination and have fun with it, but please keep this very inexpensive (try to stay under $4).
No Teacher Gifts Please:  If you would like to give something to our classroom, a book for our classroom library would be great.  We can also use more 4-packs of Expo Dry Erase markers for our white marker boards as we use these every day, and our markers are drying out.
Santa’s Workshop Reminder:   This will be on Thursday from 9:45-11:00.  If you responded that you can help, I am planning on you.  Please come to our classroom by 9:40.  See you then.
Library:  We return to the library on Monday, December 17.  Please make sure all books are returned so that more may be checked out.
Delayed Start:   School begins at 10:00 on Monday.
Reminder:  Please make sure your child has appropriate clothing for outside recess: warm jacket, snowpants, boots, hat, and gloves.  I would also recommend that you send an extra pair of mitttens and socks for your child to keep in his/her backpack.  Then your child will have dry feet and hands for every recess.  Thanks.
Wishing you and your family a Joyous Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
