Please hang this letter in a handy spot so you can help your child practice reading the words from it a couple of times each day.

Extra Mittens and Socks:  At this time of the year the boys and girls enjoy playing in the snow during recess.  However, this can lead to wet mittens and wet socks.  Please make sure your child has an extra pair of mittens and socks in his/her backpack.

Shoes:  Please make sure your child packs his/her shoes into the backpack every night so there are shoes to wear at school.  In our classroom, there are a few times during the day when we sit on the floor for stories and partner games.  We do not want tracked in mud and snow on our floor.  In addition, your child is much more comfortable if he/she does not have to wear boots all day.  If your child has an extra pair of tennis shoes, I would recommend your child leaving an extra pair in his/her locker.  Thanks.
